Please bear with us

Please bear with us if our website isn’t updated daily, or it sometimes takes a little while to reply to your messages.

As GRACE is run entirely by volunteers, our ‘day jobs’ and other commitments mean the administrative side of things can slip occasionally. You’ll be pleased to know that the hounds are at the heart of what we do and always take priority. Thank you for understanding and your amazing support.

Out and about with Elliott, Mia and Ava

Thank you to everyone who popped to see us this weekend.

Elliott

Our stall at Guisborough market, which included a tombola, dog related gifts and lots of bargain buys, raised £151.42 for GRACE. Thank you. Our lovely boy Elliott enjoyed his trip out and helped by saying hello to everyone!

Mia

Elliott was out and about again on Sunday for our monthly ‘meet and greet’ at Stewart Park in Middlesbrough. This time he was accompanied by gorgeous greyhound girls Mia and Ava, plus lots more people and hounds from our GRACE family.

A sad farewell to Bryn

Our hearts go out to Tracy and Gary who have very sadly lost their gorgeous Bryn this week. Although not a greyhound, Bryn was very much a GRACE boy. He welcomed hundreds of hounds into his home and heart. He taught the hounds under Tracy and Gary’s care how to be a dog; not to be afraid and he told them off when they needed to be!

Bryn was a one in a million boy. He was loved by everyone at GRACE. He will always be remembered and will remain in all of our hearts forever.

Pop along and see us this weekend

We will be at Guisborough market today (Saturday 25th January) from 9.00 – 14.00 with a tombola, dog related gifts and bargains to be had. Our lovely boy Elliott will be helping to greet the public (NB: not his photo).

Weather permitting, we are also at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough tomorrow (Sunday 26th January) for our first meet and greet of 2020 – please see our events page for further details.

Phillip to run marathon for GRACE

Kind-hearted Phillip is running the London Marathon in April and he’s chosen to raise funds for our rescue. I’m sure you can all appreciate how running over 26 miles is not easy! Please donate and share if you are able. We are so grateful that he has chosen to support us.

Phillip and Pearl, his gorgeous newly adopted girl. Isn’t she gorgeous!

Moose lends a paw

In between eating treats, Moose has been helping to update our GRACE website. Please tell your family and friends about us, and don’t forget to mention our Facebook page too: www.facebook.com/RescueAGreyhound

A huge thank you from all at GRACE!

Towards the end of the year we received a large, unexpected vet bill. Someone suggested that we put an appeal on our Facebook page to ask if people would consider donating £1 each.

We were blown away by people’s kindness and the appeal resulted in some very generous donations. As a result, you lovely lot raised a total of £3,790. Without your help the vet bill would still need paying.

So on behalf of the hounds and volunteers of GRACE, we just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! We wish you health and happiness for the coming year.

Christmas fayre and dog show proves a ‘greyt’ success

The hounds and volunteers at GRACE would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent Christmas fayre and dog show. We made an amazing £755.03!

P.S. you can see more photos from the event on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/RescueAGreyhound)

Thank you Stockton Central Library

Thank you to Stockton Central Library for inviting GRACE founder, Tracy Cook, to be a guest speaker at their regular ‘Books and Banter’ event recently.

Pete and Jen enjoyed their trip out too!

Running for GRACE

Laura and her dad Richard recently competed in the Great North Run to raise funds for us.

They lost their beautiful boy Rodney a year ago and they ran it in his memory. They are absolute stars to do this for us and we can’t thank them enough!
